I too, have never personally, critisized John's good fortune . Only the mechanisms that allow it to happen -
Which do appear strange to me.

I am also very restricted in the area of buisiness and marketing.
My company is a lifestyle choice rather than a money making venture and if I was a money orientated person,
I would not be doing this for a living.
I have an 18 year old foster son who earns more than I do,
and he is about to lend me some money so I can buy an ol holden for 3 &1/2 grand  :D

yea thats right Bruce the V.C merc with the speckled brown flakey roof.
Its definately a collectors item, I was goin to offer it to you for free.
Seeing as how you Kindly donated some of your  enclosures to my worthy cause.

Hang - on,  ??? second thoughts....   I could turn it into another enclosure.
A few mods, fix the air-con, glovebox hide, ...... I could be onto something here.

I have a clarification to make regarding value, which was highlighted to me by affinis.

Gary quite rightly emailed me to informed me that getting something for the cheapest cost is not always the best value. If you buy a reptile from a pet store you may not get the after sales support or experience to ensure your purchase survivies should an issue arise. My experience in dealing with both Gary and Dave certainly gives me confidence in recommending them to people wanting to buy reptiles - there is definately value in their experience and aftersales service.

In defense of pet shops, I have got most of my pythons from pet shops; Reptile Trader (Ken and Karen), Pet Magic (Matt Harris) and Exotic Tropical Fish (Steve)  and I have had excellent after sales support from all three of them.

Matt builds all my vivs and puts up with my crazed phone calls esp at 6am when my Stimi laid eggs and his advice lead to a 100% hatch rate.  Karen has spent hours talking to me and teaching me about husbandry and breeding and invited me over so she could show me how to assist feed the babies.

This help has always been given, right back to when I bought my first little Stimi hatchie Carol.

I cant vouch for all pet shops, but I can certainly vouch for the above people and I thank them for all their help.

(And thanks to everyone on the forum for their advice and help too!)
