Until they drop the price of cat 5 licences there won't be a lot of people moving up. that is the only thing holding me back, i just flat refuse to pay a huge mark up price in licence fees to keep olives when I am getting nothing extra back in service from the DEC. There is no extra work required on their part except for a one of inspection which I believe you have to pay for also.

I wanted to get an Olive for my reg 16 but was told I would need to apply for a cat 5, go through the entire process of being approved for that (paying the fees etc) and then transfer the Olive onto my reg 16 three months later, rendering the cat 5 pointless and an ongoing additional expense.
Makes sense doesn't it???

yeah that doesn't say you have to have a Cat5 licence to own a olive on your reg 16. That means you can only source an olive from another reg 16 holder or a licenced dealer. you can't, for example, buy an olive off me if I had it on a cat5 for your Reg 16.

Then they need to transfer it to a dealer, then the dealer can transfer it to you as a reg 16 animal. Just double check with Adrian or maybe a dealer can comment on here.

None have emerged yet, which is strange. I manually pulled the rest on Monday, they may be dead I'm not too sure. The one that pipped itself hasn't even come out yet so I'm just waiting it out a bit more.
