SW carpet rejecting rats
« on: August 03, 2012, 10:25:02 AM »
Hey guys just a quick question cos it's confusing me a little... My 6/7 yr old female imbricata has stopped eating rats.... I think since she laid her eggs in December.

Since I've started feeding her again in January (cos I was doing an artificial incubation) she only seems to take DOCs and adult mice. I'll offer a rat, she'll show interest, coming right up for a sniff etc but won't take it. My woma then shows no hesitation in eating the same rat, and my carpet then enthusiastically snatches a couple of chicks or mice instead. She has always eaten rats in the past though and still has good condition on her... I just CBF feeding her 5 items in a night...

Any ideas? Maybe try scenting rats??
