Thoreau

Yes  Smiley infertile eggs are commonly called slugs.
If they have a embryo in them and they go bad
they are usually referred to as dead as the embryo
has died.

They look awesome Virdis, well done.  What was the total incubation time?  Looks like your guess from the "10 days on" was within a day or two - pretty dam good going!  I have 5 stimmie eggs almost ready to hatch.  Were laid on the 22nd December so any day now............  The stress of anticipation is killing me!  I have to stop myself from checking every few hours!  I always think its amazing how the little hatchlings always looks too big to have come out of the egg, a bit like Doctor Who's Tardis - bigger on the inside!

Nice work Virdis, I know how you must feel, just went through it myself last month.
If you get them feeding please let me know how you did it.
Great photos, your eggs look so much better than mine did.

52 days incubation, 6/6, + 3 slugs,  another batch s/w due 10 days.
Feeding that can be the hard bit, Beth is the person who is expert on getting stimmies to feed.----v
